Life loves to humble us, doesn't she?

Very recently I had many of my electronics (and other random things) stolen from me, including my laptop, backup hard drive, cintiq and my scanner.  So, all of my artwork, aside from my sketches, has been taken from me.  Between the artwork and the pictures of my cat that recently passed away, I'm going through a very intense and sudden period of loss.  It sucks.  It really really sucks.

But even so, to let it defeat me, or prevent me from continuing to produce artwork, would mean the end of who I am as a person...and, I'm not letting that part of me be stolen along with all my hard work.

I've come to realize how dependent I am on technology for my artwork and how little tangible artwork I actually have (besides my sketches, of course).  So, I've decided to start small and build my tangible art portfolio while slowly building up the funds to repurchase my lost items.  This led me to ACEO's (Art Cards, Editions & Originals).  I've been interested in creating my own ACEO's for a long long time so I thought I'd give it a whirl and see what would happen.  The first card I drew was an illustration of my poupee girl from my 6/19 poupee dress up.  Then I drew a friend's poupee... and I was really happy with how they turned out.  So then I started to draw some anime fanart and I just can't stop now.  So, after some lovely comments from my friends I decided to post them here and some other avenues (LJ & Flickr) and offer commissions.

Here's my ACEO commission information:

Your ACEO will be the only one of it's kind.
I will be scanning it for my digital portfolio but I will not be reproducing it for resale.

I will draw almost anything (for the right price).
I will even draw hentai.

I have 3 types of cards: Simple, Detailed & Chibi.

Chibi Inking: 5$
Chibi Color (includes simple bg): 7$

Simple Inking: 6$
Simple Color (includes simple bg): 8$

Detailed Inking: $8
Detailed Color (includes any kind of bg): $10

In general, any extreme detail will increase the price by a dollar or 2.  So if you decide you want a colored Chibi sitting in a field of thousands of daisies, it will cost 8-9$ instead of the usual 7$.

Payment: paypal only please.
I have feedback information here on my ebay profile: [link]

Please pm me with any questions you might have!

Even if you are just an onlooker, please let me know what you think of my ACEO's. ^_^

Amy!! We may have found a job for you drawing anime in Japan! The new gamer at the table I mentioned, Tuck, saw the sketch you did in the front of one of our gaming books. He thought it rocked, and said his company is almost always hiring good 2D artists. After telling him a bit more he felt pretty confident he could get you a job. You'll need to send a portfolio here to show his boss as a first step. You might even be able to finagle a work visa out of it. I was pretty excited to hear it. I hope you are too. Send me a line here on DevArt or via e-mail and tell me what you think!
